O’Donnell & Friends Charities is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization committed to the improvement of lives in the Greater Des Moines area by the raising of funds for demonstrated needs of charitable organizations through the spirit of giving.
O’Donnell & Friends Charities was built on the founding principle of Dan & Dee O’Donnell that you “receive by giving.” Dan & Dee’s commitment to their Faith, Family, & Community, and putting the needs of others at the forefront of everything they did, ensured the improvement of individual lives during the time we were blessed with their presence. Their lifestyle of giving back to the community has now spread four generations deep and continues on through this organization that continues to provide for community needs.
Through various events, most notably the O’Donnell & Friends Open held at Toad Valley Golf Course each June, O’Donnell & Friends Charities has raised more than ONE MILLION dollars for various nonprofit organizations throughout Iowa. O’Donnell & Friends Charities has also implemented the Dan & Dee O’Donnell Scholarship that provides funds for college tuition to graduating high school seniors who may otherwise not be able to afford it.
